When I wrote this track I was really lost in transit. I had broker up with The Deadbodies and flown from Seattle, WA to Los Angeles, CA. Eventually, I was taken in by a friendly helper, Adam Raspler. I felt like a lost puppy and maybe just as needy. It was a time when EVERYTHING seemed magical, like I had dreamed every moment, but at the same time it felt utterly tragic. It was innocence in it's rawest form. I cherish those memories.
lyrics
I'm lost in transit, turn around
You picked my heart up at the lost and found
Soundly we share a come place
But these faces are new to me
There is a world I have yet to see
Silently keep inside that
These motions made, I've seen before like
Those words you say, have passed my ear
In dreamy lands of wonder
Dreams that brought the thunder
And why the skies are quick to make a scene
And why the skies are quick to rain on me, as lucky as it seems, I'm drowning
I'm lost in transit, turn around
I jumped those steps but I'm making ground
Soundly now, keep in side that
These motions made, I've seen before like
Those words you say, have passed my ear
In dreamy lands of wonder
Dreams that brought the thunder
And I'm in constant wonder at
Why the skies are quick to make a scene
And why the skies are quick to rain on me, as lucky as it seems, I'm drowning
I'll keep for the stars dear
Just know it's hard here
Why I've been choking down water and salt
Cuz it's quite ridiculous why they rain on me
To think I'm meant for this, baby please believe
I'm so lost at sea, but I'm trying
